I studied Physiotherapy at the University of the West of England from 1998 - 2001 and received a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy Degree. I have been State Registered since qualification, and I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

I began my career working for Heartlands and Solihull NHS Trust in 2001 where I gained experience in all aspects of Physiotherapy including treatment of:

  • Neurological Conditions.
  • Musculoskeletal Conditions.
  • Orthopaedic Conditions.
  • Respiratory Conditions.

Since 2003, I have been employed by Worcestershire NHS Trust and have been involved in neurological rehabilitation of persons affected by:

  • Stroke.
  • Acquired Brain Injury.
  • Traumatic Brain Injury.
  • Post-operative Neurosurgery.
  • Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Parkinsons Disease.
  • Spinal Injuries.

I have also gained experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal complaints. I have attended many courses to keep abreast of advances in Physiotherapy and best practice, these include:

  • Three Bobath Courses; involving normal movement and the treatment of high and low tone.
  • Neurological Outpatient Techniques in the treatment of muscle imbalance and adverse neural dynamics.
  • Management of Spasticity.
  • Mechanisms of Balance.
  • Management of Spinal Injuries.
  • Grade V Manipulation.
  • Taping, to reduce the risk of, and in the treatment of, musculosketal injuries.
  • ...and many more.

Currently I treat clients at an Acquired Brain Injury Unit in Evesham and I also have clients who are based in nursing homes.
